We offer our students a wide variety of co-curricular activities such as public speaking, debate and dramatics, creative writing, eco-club, quizzing, astronomy, dance, photography, philately, trekking, film appreciation and even cookery.
It is mandatory for each student at OAKLEY to be a part of at least one of the clubs.
Films reflect human emotions and society. At Oakley, senior students watch and discuss films every Saturday, analyzing story, direction, and themes. The club focuses on “Enlightenment over Entertainment.”
The Cookery Club teaches students basic cooking skills, kitchen etiquette, and different cooking methods. It helps them learn an important life skill and appreciate the effort behind preparing food.
The Dramatics Club helps students explore acting, stage performance, and expression through drama. Members meet regularly to develop their theatre and performance skills.
Mathletes is for students who enjoy mathematics, statistics, and problem solving. Members sharpen their skills and prepare for math competitions.
Students learn photography using SLR cameras and understand techniques like focus, shutter speed, and aperture, along with basic darkroom skills to enhance their creativity.
The Quiz Club motivates students to expand knowledge, improve reading habits, and develop analytical thinking through weekly quizzes hosted by the students themselves.
This club encourages students to contribute to society through activities like campus cleaning, paper-bag making, donating stationery to government schools, and conducting spoken English classes.
The Robotics Club introduces students to robotics, artificial intelligence, and technology, helping them explore future career opportunities in the tech field.
Art plays an important role in student development. Oakley’s Art Club provides modern facilities for painting, printing, tie-and-dye, and other art forms, encouraging creativity and artistic careers.
Chess helps students develop strategic thinking, concentration, and decision-making skills. Training sessions prepare students for inter-school and community competitions.
Students improve public speaking, argumentation, and communication skills through debates, speeches, and competitions at different levels.
This club encourages students interested in science, research, and innovation to participate in science fairs and explore modern scientific developments.
